When I got my new laptop last week the first thing I did was install all the software that over the years, I’d found to be essential to having a good, healthy and happy computer. So I’d thought I share my list of free and Essential software for a happy PC right here with you good readers.

We’ve had our friends Robbie and Kylee staying with us for the last three week.

They’ve left now and flown back down to Sydney for some more adventures. It was fun having them stay and the girls really loved having some other people around.

I’m giving the site a bit of a face-lift and getting back to some more regular updates.

Our new friend Edel left to return to Ireland on Thursday. She was a huge help to us when we moved house looking after the girls and helping us pack. We couldn’t have done it without her and will be eternally grateful.

I’m playing around with something called Audioboo, which you could describe as the Twitter of podcasting. It allows you to record short audio clips to your Audioboo profile page. People can then listen and/or subscribe to them in itunes.

You can visit my profile here and if you click the itunes button on the left of the page you can subscribe just like a regular podcast and listen on your ipod.

A Brief update on what we’re up to.

• We’re still trying to sort out the finance for the new house.
• We had to move out of the house we were renting because it was sold.
• Our very nice friends and ex-next-door-neighbors have let us stay in there holiday home for a few weeks. It’s in Burliegh Heads about an hour south from the house we are buying.
• We are hoping, yet again, to hear back from the mortgage lenders early this week.
• As soon as the finance is approved we can get the keys and move in, so we’ll hopefully be in by the end of this week.

Failing that we will be probably giving up and renting again for a while, before having another stab at getting on this crazy property ladder.

I may be bald and/or grey by then.
